Teacher wellbeing in emergencies. INEE support and resources

Presentation by Dr. Oula Abu-Amsha, Coordinator Learning and Development at INEE, the Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies, at the online event Teacher education in emergencies to support attraction and well-being to celebrate World Teachers' Day held on 6 October 2023. The session led by the Teacher Task Force explored the unique challenges of teaching and learning, strengthening the attractiveness of the teaching profession and retention of teachers in emergency contexts. It presented some examples of teachers’ professional development and digital tools to support the teaching process in emergencies, enhance attractiveness and ensure continuity of education and access to quality distance learning. This presentation illustrates some examples and tools to support teachers’ wellbeing and contribute to teacher retention difficult settings.
