Teacher education provider standards. Cambodia

The teacher education provider standards were developed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia to ensure a common understanding among potential teacher education providers. The standards were developed as part of the effort to strengthen the quality of the education system, after the progress made by the country to ensure access to education particularly at the primary level.

The standards will help the leadership of the pre-school teacher training centre, the provincial teacher centre and the regional teacher training centre to take the necessary actions in order to upgrade their institution to a teacher education college. It will also serve as a guideline for the existing higher education institutions to expand their services to provide teacher education programs.
