Declaration on initial teacher training

The members of the Latin American Coalition for Teaching Excellence make this declaration, which presents what they consider to be the components of quality initial teacher training. The declaration is intended to facilitate a regional consensus on the key factors for ensuring adequate initial teacher preparation. A series of recommendations are made, based on the research and experience of Coalition members, to improve initial training in the region.
