Regional groups
With nearly 100 countries represented in the TTF, regional groups help to enhance knowledge sharing, best practice and challenges. Regional groups in the Arab States, sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) met for the first time in 2019. Further mechanisms to enhance intra-regional collaboration through organisations with a regional remit and synergy with UNESCO and SDG4 Structures are being coordinated by the TTF Secretariat.
Regional spaces are available in the TTF Member Space.

Teachers: Leading in crisis, reimagining the future
Following from the Regional Meetings initiated in May/June of 2020 (please see the archive information further down on this page) on distance teaching and the return to school, the TTF, with member organizations and partners organized a new series of discussions to coincide with the World Teachers’ Day celebrations. These built on the initial dialogue while also exploring the topic of teacher leadership and its key role in developing effective solutions to address challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic and building back resilient education systems.

The meetings were open to TTF member countries and organizations as well as non-members. TTF focal points, representatives of Ministries of Education, and other relevant education stakeholders working on teachers’ issues in the region were invited to join the meeting.
